There are some really nice elements on here but I think your cover image would be far better suited to the poster as it is more horror rather than a striking magazine image. How about using all of the pictures and crossing through some of them - see me as I can picture it(ish!)
You also need more cover lines and for them to stand out more. Use a template to fit conventions, e.g., http://iluvcinema.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/x-men-first-class-empire-magazine-cover-02.jpg
