Group Horror Idea
Synopsis:
Lucas Baxter is just a normal yet unfortunate guy, growing up whilst being the victim of constant bullying. After his neighbour has recently passed away, Lucas' curiosity gets the better of him after suspicious activity comes from inside the supposedly abandoned house. One night he ventures over to the house alone and hears a noise in the attic. Intrigued to find out what it was, he hesitantly heads up to the attic to investigate. Up there, he discovers a strange, creepy looking box in the centre of the dull lit room. He opens the lid revealing a bunch of photos, amongst them some of his friends, including some of the children that have been tragically killed recently. Piecing things together he realises that his friends are being hunted, including his high school sweetheart Erin Gold, and he must do all he can to save them from this unknown evil and for an unknown reason.
Character Profiles:
It will be set mainly in a dark house/attic which would give the eerie horror effect we are after. most shots will be at night if they are shot outside as again it adds the horror effect, nothing is as scary in daylight.
Audience:
The audience for this trailer will be male or female and over the age of 18 due to the disturbing violence and adult situations. I also wanted this to capture the audience of a famous Anime/Manga called Deathnote as the concept is very similar so that could be a potential secondary audience.

My Own Horror Movie Ideas

A group of young travelers come across something there are not supposed to deep in the Amazon Rain-forest. Tommey, a post-graduate, and his 4 friends James, Tess and Rachael are traveling around South America including places such as the Amazon. On their journey they encounter ancient ruins from centuries ago which hold a hidden secret. They set up camp on the ruins perimeter thinking it will provide shelter from the outside world, but it's whats inside that they need protecting from.
The next morning they explore the ruins to find a temple, which they enter. Upon entering, the group realize they can't escape and only one of them can survive the ordeal. The ancient gods require 3 sacrifices. The group have to fight for their own lives and end that of others in the ancient labyrinth.
